Zakat Calculation

You can easily calculate your zakat amount by using the Zakat Calculation Module, taking into account the assets you own.

The Zakat Calculation Module helps you determine your zakat amount by evaluating your assets such as cash, foreign currency, gold, silver, commercial goods, receivables, and debts.

Zakat calculations are carried out using the infrastructure of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation.

Enter the amount of cash in Turkish Lira that you have set aside, excluding your essential needs and debts that are due within the next year.

Enter the amount of foreign currency you have set aside, excluding your essential needs and debts that are due within the next year. You need to enter each currency type separately and add it to the cart.

Enter the amount of gold you have set aside, excluding your essential needs and debts that are due within the next year. Enter each type of gold separately and add it to the cart. Those following the Hanafi school include jewelry in the zakat calculation. However, those following the Shafi'i school do not include items such as earrings, rings, necklaces, etc., made of gold in the zakat calculation, as they consider jewelry to be part of essential needs and do not require zakat.

Enter the amount of silver you have set aside, excluding your essential needs and debts that are due within the next year, and add it to the cart.

Enter your finished or semi-finished commercial goods stored in your warehouses or on your shelves, excluding your essential needs and debts that are due within the next year. Add them to the cart separately, either in Turkish Lira or foreign currency.

Enter your other assets, such as stocks, checks, promissory notes, sukuk, rental certificates, etc., excluding your essential needs and debts that are due within the next year. Add them to the cart separately, either in Turkish Lira or foreign currency.

Receivables are categorized into three types in terms of their eligibility for zakat: strong, moderate, and weak receivables. This program calculates zakat only on strong receivables.

Add your receivables in categories such as Turkish Lira, foreign currency, gold, silver, commercial goods, and other zakat-eligible assets to the cart separately, either in Turkish Lira or foreign currency.

Only enter the debts that are due within the next year in Turkish Lira or foreign currency, separately.

For example, if someone has a 180,000 TL mortgage with a 10-year term, and they will pay 18,000 TL of the debt within the next year, they should enter 18,000 TL, not the full 180,000 TL, in the relevant field.

Enter the quantity and unit price of your wheat product, as well as whether you incurred any additional expenses such as irrigation, pesticide, diesel, etc., during agricultural activities, and enter the amount of the expenses.
